Re-Admission Policies

1)    Applying to Return After Not Re-Enrolling

If parents choose to not re-enroll during the re-registration timeframe and later reverse their decision, they must re-apply for admission to the school through the Admissions Office.  Current documentation may be required.  The requests for re-registration are reviewed AFTER the current round of admission decisions is complete and if there is space available.

Student and parent(s) must interview with the respective principal. Should re-admittance be approved, the family will be asked to complete the necessary enrollment paperwork, pay the late fee and the tuition deposit.

2)    Re-Apply to Return After Withdrawal

Must meet specific criteria relating to their original reason for leaving.

In the case of tuition/fees due, all past tuition and fees must be paid. The school reserves the right to ask for payment in full if deemed advisable considering the parent’s payment history.

In the case of a student with learning differences who has been in a differentiated school setting or a student who was not academically successful at SFCS and took classes in a non-traditional setting (homeschool, on-line, one-on-one private instruction), current test results, conferences/reports from the current school and possible observation of the student in a classroom setting may be used to determine whether SFCS is academically suitable for this student.

Students and families who move away and then return to the area, must meet all admission standards including testing and tuition paid, etc. They will be pooled with all new applicants.  No priority is given.

Re-Apply Within One School Year of Withdrawal:

Students wishing to re-apply for admission within one school year of leaving need to pay a $50 re-activation fee and submit all necessary forms needed to update the admissions folder.  The file will be re-activated and evaluated with the other applicants for that round of decisions.  There is no priority given.

Entrance testing will be necessary if the student is moving from one school to another. (Lower School to Middle or Middle School to Upper).  The admissions committee may require that a student, regardless of grade level, take an entrance test.

A family interview with a principal or administrator is necessary for all re-applying students.

Re-admission into the school (including home school students who attended previously) will be based upon available space and qualification of the student.  Space in a class is not guaranteed.

Re-Apply After One School Year of Withdrawal:

Students who have been gone from SFCS for more than one school year need to pay the $125 application fee, submit a new application and complete all the steps for admission.  The file will be evaluated with the other applicants for that round of decisions.  There is no priority given.
