Steve Strimple has been teaching at SFC since 1991, and he has been serving in the field of education since 1982.  During his own college days, Steve played varsity soccer and tennis, and he has coached both sports for numerous seasons at the high school and club levels. His two daughters attended SFC since Kindergarten. Ashley graduated from Point Loma Nazarene University in 2007 where she was a 2005, 2006, and 2007 first-team NAIA All-American in tennis.  Kristin, also playing tennis for Point Loma Nazarene University, was the NAIA "rookie of the year" and first-team All-American after her 2008 freshmen season.

Steve serves grades 9-12 with counseling needs.  Steve's goal as a college counselor is to partner with parents in supporting their students' future success- guiding them through the process of college and educational choices.  In addition, Steve Strimple helps the students and their families make academic decisions as they enter and exit high school.  The desire is to help students "engage the culture for Christ ... walking in the light of God's Word."

Steve Strimple recognizes the tremendous privilege it is to be entrusted with the care of your students in this process.  He enjoys the college counseling cliche, "college is a match to be made rather than a prize to be won."
