"Through missions, our students learn that serving others is another way of serving God and it gives them a chance to demonstrate their faith in a tangible way." -Paul Lyon, Director of Ministries.
Ministries
Putting Faith in Action. In preparing Christian leaders of tomorrow, our students are encouraged to reach out and share the love of Christ in their local community and globally. We provide our students with many unique opportunities to put their faith into action and fulfill the great commission while discovering the blessing of serving others. From the simple acts of donating a book, shoe, or participating in a toy drive at the Lower School, to making meals for the homeless at the Middle School, to building trenches for clean water systems on an international mission trip at the Upper School, it is our desire train our students' hearts to see beyond themselves and to the needs of the world around them.
"Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven." Matthew 5:16
Partnering with Missionaries. Santa Fe Christian partners with missionaries throughout the world, intentionally working in these same locations year after year in order to build lasting relationships with the communities and the people they serve. By breaking global barriers, students gain a bigger perspective of the world around them, develop a deeper appreciation for other cultures, and gain empathy for the poorer economic conditions in which many people live. Teams are sent to Russia, Thailand, Italy, France, Africa, Dominican Republic, Rwanda, Costa Rica, Fiji, and Uganda. This year over 240 SFC students will be serving around the globe!
