Mrs. Austin     Physical Education

I am Becky Austin and I have been in education for over 15 years.  I  teach Kindergarten Physical Education at Santa Fe Christian School.  Physical Education at the Kindergarten level is taught from a Christian viewpoint and our teaching is Biblically based.  We want each child to be filled with the Spirit of God, with skill, ability and knowledge (Exodus 31:3).  The Kindergarten program emphasizes locomotor, non locomotor, body management, manipulative, and rhythmic movement skills. We present challenges to students that can be interpreted at their individual level. We want each child to know that he/she is a winner in God’s eyes.  We teach Godly character traits, obedience, kindness, honesty, self-control and provide students with Biblical examples.

I feel blessed that I have a chance to introduce students to activities that could encourage them to enjoy physical activity for lifetime fitness and a relationship with Jesus Christ for eternal life.
