Mr. Sandvik     Computer Technology

Greetings from the lower school computer lab. Working at Santa Fe Christian is an answer to prayer and I enjoy serving the Lord through technology education. Computer use has become a necessary tool to function effectively in society. Students at SFC not only learn hardware and software principles, but how to apply these skill sets to reflect a Christian world view.

All lower school students have access to a state-of-the-art computer lab equipped with high-speed networked computers. Grades 1-3 visit the lab thirty minutes per week and are introduced to a variety of software tools such as word processing, graphic design, presentation and spreadsheet programs. In addition, students explore a variety of edutainment software to reinforce core subject matter in math, reading, spelling, and grammar. Grades 4-5 visit the computer lab one hour per week developing skills and confidence necessary to integrate computer technology into classroom activities. Throughout the school year, students are responsible for managing files within their personal folders located on the SFC campus network.
