Mrs. Leroux     Fourth GradeTeacher

I consider teaching 4th graders at Santa Fe Christian a rare privilege and a great responsibility. Not only am I charged with helping students acquire and apply the knowledge necessary to become productive members of our society, I am blessed to be able to do this from a Biblical perspective. My desire is to share with students my love of God and my love of learning.

I enjoy this enthusiastic age and stimulating curriculum so much that I’ve taught it for twelve years! Fourth graders learn the “Young Peacemaker” way of dealing with conflicts in a godly way and how to study the Bible, to be a “workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the Word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15

This is also the year that students move from “learning to read” to “reading to learn” as we explore California’s history and various aspects of God’s amazing creation. Across the curriculum, I strive to instill habits for lifelong success-- organization, time management, setting high standards, being accountable for one’s choices, and doing “all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.” Colossians 3:17

God has gifted each of us in special ways so that we can honor Him and serve others. I endeavor to help students recognize, nurture, and use their unique gifts; I personally enjoy leading students in worship through music and other creative outlets.

I count it a privilege to partner with parents in helping their children become effective Christians, “the Christian leaders of tomorrow.”
