Mrs. St. Gean First Grade Teacher Education is a partnership with the teacher and the home. Communication with families and the cooperation that exists between them does much to enhance the curriculum. One of the goals of the classroom is to pursue educational excellence applying Biblical truths. (“God’s Word is Truth” – John 17:17) We also desire to know Jesus and show our love by obeying his commands. (“This is love for God: to obey his commands.” I John 5:3.) We learn to love one another and forgive as well. “(Love your neighbor as yourself.” Matt.22:39 “Forgive as the Lord forgave you.” Col. 3:13) Through studying Christian character qualities, we strive, with God’s help, to develop responsible behavior and respect for one another. Within the format of our curriculum, we allow time to follow the questions of curious minds, evaluate current events in light of God’s Word, and capture opportunities for exploring the wonderful world that God has created. I desire, that as each child becomes excited by the studies initiated in class, they will be motivated to pursue avenues of their individual interest. |
