Mrs. Studer     Third Grade Teacher

My desire as a teacher is to instill in my students a love for Christ, a love for others, and a love of learning. With God as the creator of the universe, all things come from him, and we should live lives with Him at the center.

Christ is the measure of truth and the source of knowledge. *Psalms 94:10; Proverbs 2:1-9; Rom. 1:19* Knowledge is learned through parents, teachers, vicarious experiences, etc. Yet, students must test the validity of their knowledge against God's infallible Word. Part of my job is to teach my students how to be responsible and take an active part of their learning. *Colossians 2:8*

Finally, I want my students to understand the importance of respecting not only their parents and teachers, but their peers as well. Colossians 3:12-14 states that we are to put on kindness, meekness, and forgiveness; forgiving others as Christ forgave us. Philippians 2:4 tells us to look out for the interest of others. Even as third graders, they are held accountable for their actions. I hope that every student that leaves my class will remember our class verse, 1 Timothy 4:12. Even though they are young, they are able to be an example of God's love to every person they meet.

Our class goal is to "Glorify the Lord by Enjoying Him Forever."
