¡Bienvenidos a Spanish 1 con Mrs. Bocanegra ! A long time ago God put a passion for teaching and a passion for Spanish in my heart. Also he gave me a desire to serve and be close to Him. I am thrilled to have the privilege to teach 8th grade Spanish 1 here at Santa Fe Christian this year! For me it is truly an answer to prayer. What a joy it is for me to praise His name at work every day with my 8th grade students. I have taught elementary school for the past 17 years for San Diego Unified School District. I taught all grades K-5 in bilingual as well as Spanish immersion programs. In addition to holding an elementary credential I also have my high school credential single subject in Spanish. My B.S. degree is in bilingual education from Boston University. In addition I have 2 Masters degrees: A Masters in International Business from The American Graduate School of Global Management in Glendale Arizona and a Masters in Education from National University in San Diego. My daughter Claudia is currently in 6th grade at SFC and my son Bruce is an 8th grade student at Digueño Middle School in Encinitas.
