| Welcome to Middle School Art! I have always commented that my favorite grades to teach art are at the middle school and college levels. God gave me the desires of my heart when He called me to come back to SFCS to teach Middle School Art. You are in for a time of excitement whether it is in rotation, semester, or a full year of art…so get ready to have some fun through the exploration of 2 and 3 dimensional media. All students will be invited to a spring show that will showcase many of the art student's work. In addition to the spring show, Art 2 students will have a small gallery showing where they may sell their work for a profit. Come join the fun! Background: I graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a BFA in Fine Arts and Art Education. I taught a t SFCS from 1987-90 and returned to the University of Cincinnati to be an adjunct professor in their Art Ed. Department teaching elementary education majors how to implement art in their classrooms. I returned to SFCS in 1999 and began teaching weaving at UCSD the same year in the Craft Department. I am a professional fiber artist where my work has been showing in La Jolla Fiber Arts Gallery on Girard in La Jolla for the last 9 years as well numerous juried shows throughout Southern California. God really has blessed me by allowing me to create art, show and share it with the public, and to teach young minds how to create and find a passion in creating art. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your child'ss life. Robin Przybysz |
