Welcome to the Fine and Performing Arts Department The choirs are a great place to make friends, worship and sing. If you like to sing or want to learn to read music, consider joining the choir! The choirs participate in festivals, competitions and missions in San Diego, the U.S. and abroad. If you have a desire to witness through singing and/or speaking, consider auditioning for the Chamber Chorale. They take a yearly missions trip. The tours have included Kentucky, Texas, New York City, Tonga, Fiji and Australia. This is my 12th year teaching at SFC. I love teaching in a Christian School where I can teach sacred choral music and sing openly about Christ. I earned my Bachelor's and Master's degree at the University of Redlands in piano performance with secondary studies in choral conducting, music education and pedagogy. I am married and have two children: Laura, a junior at Azusa Pacific University majoring in viola performance, and Andy, employed by Apple at UTC and going to school at UCSD. Have a great year!
