Dear Eagle Buddy and Family,

Greetings! Thank you for taking on the responsibility of being an Eagle Buddy to one of our new students! As you know, one of the main goals of SFC is to develop Christian leaders and by getting involved in the Eagle Buddy Program, you are developing leadership!  Parents, your help is vital to the success of this program and I greatly appreciate your involvement and support!

Suggestions for SFC Students getting to know their assigned Buddy:

-         Telephone and welcome your buddy to SFC.

-         If you are a 6th grade student, plan a spot to meet before or after the 6th grade orientation.

-         Arrange an activity with your buddy before July 15 (beach, golf, pizza dinner, bowl, paint ceramics, or simply an invitation to your home) If you want, join up with another pair of buddies.

-         If you are in town, attend the summer get-togethers planned for your grade level Eagle Buddy pairs. (Details will be emailed soon)

-         Once school starts, attend the Back to School class party and introduce your buddy and his or her parents to others.

-         On the first day of school, welcome your buddy and make sure he/she knows where to go, what to do, etc.  Plan a place to meet for break and/or lunch to make them feel more comfortable.

-         During the first 2-3 weeks, check in on your buddy to see how he/she is adjusting to school; use the break time to make conversation or just simply to see how he/she is doing at SFC.
