              "The Discipleship Ministry of Santa Fe Christian School endeavors to provide direction  and support of the intentional discipleship opportunities that will encourage students to grow spiritually by pursuing God, His Word, and His purposes."

SFC'S mission statement is very important because it gives definition and direction for our school in the area of spiritual formation.  By discipleship we mean simply living out the gospel of Jesus Christ (Matt. 22:34-40).  This process involves a commitment to Jesus Christ (Luke. 14:26,27) and to the Word of God (John. 8:31) and results in a heart of love and service for Christ and for others (John. 13:34,35).  We desire to have a school where there is an atmosphere that supports discipleship opportunities in a wide variety of areas.  We want to partner with Christian homes and Bible-believing churches by encouraging each student to personally choose to be a follower of Christ, recognizing that we must rely on the Holy Spirit to work in the heart.  Finally, following Jesus Christ is a lifetime process of growth and development and is often difficult to measure objectively.  Ultimately, our heart's desire would be that each person associated with Santa Fe Christian Schools would please the Audience of One, the Lord Jesus Christ. (2 Cor. 5:9).
